Ability One

The Ability One program is a federal initiative to help people who have disabilities find employment by working for nonprofit agencies that sell products and/or services to the U.S. government.

Post Masters received our first contract through Ability One in 2009 when we were selected to manage mail operations at Whiteman Air Force Base in Sedalia, Missouri.  Since then, three additional contracts pertaining to print and mail have been awarded to Post Masters.  Post Masters brings a new dynamic to the Ability One Program.  We have invested in high-tech, high-volume printing and mail processing equipment and advanced automated outbound mailing services, therefore opening doors to opportunities previously obtained by only large commercial contractors.

Below is a list of current projects Post Masters fulfills through the Ability One program:

  • Manage Mailing operations for Whiteman Air Force Base
  • Insert and presort (barcode and sort) all out going mail for the Defense, Accounting and Finance Service (DFAS), Cleveland, Ohio, totaling more the 6 million envelopes annually
  • Presort (barcode and sort) all out going mail that includes both letter size and flat mail for the Defense, Accounting and Finance Services (DFAS), Indianapolis, Indiana.  The estimated volume of letter mail is approximately 1 million pieces annually and flats are 350,000 annually
